Eating Terumah

The possuk in parshas Titzaveh (39:33) says ואכלו אתם אשר כפר בהם למלא את ידם לקדש אתם.  This is one of the sources that its a positive commandment to eat kodshim.  The Rambam in perush hamishna to Ohalot (18:4) says אבל אכילת תרומה הנה אין בה זולת מצות עשה שכל אכילת קדשים מצות עשה הוא.  It appears that eating terumah is also a mitzvah.  The Rambam in Sefer Hamitzvot positive commandment #89 counts the mitzvah of eating kodshim. In the middle he discusses that this also includes eating terumah and eating kodshim kalim.   וכן גם כן תרומה הנה אכילתה נגררת אחר המצוה. אכל אין אכילת הקדשים קלים ותרומה כאכילת בשר חטאת ואשם. כי אכילת הבשר הזה מן החטאת ומן האשם בם תשלם כפרת המתכפר כמו שבארנו ובא לשון הצווי באכילתם מה שלא בא בקדשים קלים ותרומה ולפיכך הוא נגרר אחר המצוה והאוכל אותם עושה מצוה.  It is unclear exactly what the Rambam is saying, however, we see it is part of the mitzvah of eating kodshim.  However ,there there is a difference.  Regarding kodshim, the mitzvah is separate from the avodah of the korban.  Eating kodshim kalim and terumah however is part of the avodah of the korban/ separating the terumah. (See also perush hamishna Gittin 1:5.)  This view of the Rambam is followed is his Mishne Torah in the last halacha of the Laws of Terumot where he rules that a kohan says a blessing of mitzvot before eating terumah, כָּל הָאוֹכֵל תְּרוּמָה מְבָרֵךְ בִּרְכַּת אוֹתוֹ מַאֲכָל וְאַחַר כָּךְ מְבָרֵךְ אֲשֶׁר קִדְּשָׁנוּ בִּקְדֻשָּׁתוֹ שֶׁל אַהֲרֹן וְצִוָּנוּ לֶאֱכל תְּרוּמָה. וְכָךְ קִבַּלְנוּ וְרָאִינוּ אוֹתָם מְבָרְכִין אֲפִלּוּ בְּחַלַּת חוּצָה לָאָרֶץ שֶׁגַּם אֲכִילַת קָדְשֵׁי הַגְּבוּל כַּעֲבוֹדָה שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר (במדבר יח ז) "עֲבוֹדַת מַתָּנָה אֶתֵּן אֶת כְּהֻנַּתְכֶם".  (See Radvaz that understands one says a blessing even though its not a mitzvah,וצ"ע.)
